September 6, 2012 | iChuckydee | Leave a comment We have all heard about it. And we have all been waiting for it. Facebook has finally closed a deal with Instagram for and amazing $747.1 million, which is actually a little bit cheaper than the originally estimated $1 billion back in April. Chump change right? The deal is scheduled to officially close as soon as the USFTC clears the giant transaction. But no need to worry about any changes other than better integrations between the two. The app that we all love isnt changing any thing other than their address.. “While our team is making the short move to the Facebook offices, Instagram isn’t going anywhere. The Instagram app and its features will stay the same one you know and love, and we’ll keep working together to build a better Instagram for everyone.“- the Instagram team There is still no word on when the official merger is going to happen. But both parties are reassuring everyone that it is soon and no changes will happen on the apps. “As we said from the beginning, we are committed to building and growing Instagram independently. Instagram will continue to serve its community, and we will help Instagram continue to grow by using Facebook’s strong engineering team and infrastructure.” – The Facebook team So there you have it. I for one think its a great merge and will save a lot of time between the two Apps. Let me know what you think. And as always you can follow me on twitter @ichuckydee . And watch for any updates, as i will be keeping a close eye on this. 🙂 Share and Enjoy !Shares
