I dont know, but I have the feeling this type of thing is going to take time to stop since they can keep changing the number. The best thing is to keep reporting this to Skype every time you see it. And of course, DO NOT CALL THAT NUMBER! 🙂

by the way, I'm currently logged in to Skype and there's that pop-up again. It's asking me to call a phone number 661-380-3000 for assistance. I looked it up and it looks like it's been reported for scam already at http://www.callercenter.com/661-380-3000.html.

Is Skype even aware about how serious this issue is?

I did notice some pop-ups on my Skype account but i just closed it right away. I treat pop-ups like a virus so i usually close it right away once it comes up.
