Saw this on thenextweb looks pretty good.  Basically what the Japanese telecommunications operator KDDI is building is a cell phone screen with the use of well timed and placed haptic vibrators and a pressure sensitive screen.  Of course, since I have not tried this myself I have no idea what it would feel like, but sounds like an improvement. Not only will you feel a vibration under your finder when you browse across a button, but depending on the amount of pressure you apply, the vibration can feel like an actual button click.  Pretty cool.
